St John The Baptist Church (900yrs old in 2015) in the village of Penshurst in Kent, charmingly illustrated here, is a quintessential part of the British countryside and way of life. 'Saving Penshurst Church' appeal is about ensuring the future of the building by enabling wider community use and placing the church, once again, closer to the centre of village life.

After years of planning and fund-raising. we hope that 2013 will see the church works begin ... next Christmas' (2013) services may be held with the building under scaffolding...
